The Classic Bridal Portrait

Picture it, literally. Picture the morning that you’re getting ready for the best day of your life. You have everything in place. Your dress is in its garment bag, you have your details laid out, the timeline is going smoothly, hair and makeup team arrived and on time, but there’s something that’s missing.

In our previous wedding season, there’s something I have to confess that I noticed. Ladies are notorious for taking longer to get ready especially in comparison to men. Victor walks out the shower, and he’s ready in 2 minutes, and I’m still putting blush on, and it’s been more than 1 hour since I showered. So it comes as no surprise that on the most special day of your life, things might get carried away. I’ve seen brides who’ve left the entire portion of getting ready in the hands of their talented artists and bridesmaids. Although, you’re trying to take it easy, here’s something you should always schedule.

Don’t forget to slate 15 minutes for your classic bridal portrait before stepping out your room.

These are the two reasons why:

1. Yes, you’ll have plenty portraits with your new husband, but this is a portion of the day where the final detail has been placed. It’s the moment when you wear your dress with a clear destination in mind. This portrait is just you crowned with bridal beauty and its a moment worth freezing in time before everyone else gets to see you. Your make up is in its most perfect state, your dress unblemished and every strand of hair in place, let’s capture it.

2. Although we know you will cherish these photos for all of the time, it gives us so much joy to know that a future child will love these photos as much as you if not even more. It gives us even greater joy knowing that their future children will also hold your portraits dear. So as much as we like to serve you, this is most likely for them.

After the wedding where everything happens so fast, those extra 15 minutes of getting ready will seem like a millisecond of time but forever frozen in your capsule of a wedding album.
