There was no other way to describe it. There was an instant connection. In a way, the room grew quiet, and it was just the two of them. Giuliana and Rob met for their first date after exchanging online correspondence for a bit. He knew at once that she was beautiful and she reciprocated by flirting a little. There was no awkwardness or word fiddling. They conversed, and it just grew from there. A first date became a second date, and then it became months and then years. Giuliana’s Italian and Romanian background rubbed off onto Rob’s food palate and his crave for travel became part of her trajectory.
One big move across the country from Washington to San Francisco later, life as they knew transitioned from a series of memories and joyful moments to the inevitable question. They mutually agreed on their next chapter would be marriage and to spend whatever time fate would give them together. Now planning a wedding for the beautiful August date in Pittsburgh, everything is lining up seamlessly.
They met us at the esteemed Shakespeare Garden in Golden Gate Park, and the intermittent rain almost changed our plans within a span of seconds. The faithful sun broke out allowing for Giuliana and Rob to capture part of their story in their current home in the Bay Area. Giuliana wore her favorite red color, which strikes an elegant contrast to the lush gardens where we strolled. Rob grabbed her by the hand making this all the easier for Victor and me. We cannot wait to see what their day on the East Coast will be painted. Pittsburgh will be blessed to start off their next chapter.
