Summer is almost slipping away from our fingers, but these sweet moments with Mayra and Rene remind the best moments we’ve had. Thier kindled love was one of the sweetest that I’ve witnessed. After two years of planning and one beautiful child later, they announced their official engagement. Their love for the California coast waters is comparable to mine, so they chose the ever-so scenic Half Moon Bay as their official spot. It probably wasn’t love at first sight, but there was definitely a little bit ‘hard-to-get’ foreplay happening in their first encounter.

Their casual session ellipses from the breathtaking sunlit scapes to their laughter at their son’s romping around the waters. Mayra graced the panorama with her shy smile, but Rene took it to the next level by walking into the unpredictable waves. We almost called it quit when his pants were drenched with the salted waters, but their casual affair continued with a glass of wine in hand. The white-linen tents created the perfect shade from the harsh sun’s rays. Nevertheless, joy radiated in each others’ eyes as they watched their beautiful curled hair son getting soaked in the waves and stomping in the grainy sand.

I always get sentimental on the beach, whether I’m lounging or just working. Waves are so reminiscent of the unpredictable patterns of life. You can see for miles into the ocean but can never quite get a full understanding of what’s out there until you venture off and set sail. Mayra and Rene reminded me that sometimes you just got to get your feet wet and maybe just maybe have an awesome, unforgettable moment.
