It was as if their encounter was pre-destined, pre-arranged or even heavenly made. There was no e-harmony, no millionaire matchmaker, no Facebook involved; it was the result of a casual conversation between pastors. So, with that in mind, it was an undeniably heavenly arranged date. Although, Rene was first connected to his sweetheart Carisa by his local pastor, on the lookout for a prospect match, Carisa was the perfect fit. Her endearing smile was and is the glimmer of Rene’s eye. If there were a way love could stare it would be how Rene looks endlessly into Carisa.

When Carisa told me about Meek Estate, I was smitten with it from the start. The white antique Victorian mansion lent the most romantic backdrop for their session. Surrounded by fields of grass and trees, it was the perfect fit frame for their love story to take place. I was lovingly accompanied by Carisa’s sweet mother as well as Rene’s friend Bernard in their attempt to honor the promise of their engagement. The best part of the day was being greeted by Carisa’s mother and her compliment on my Filipino and youthful features. I stopped and high-five her (was indeed the best compliment ever!). In Rene’s attempt to put Carisa at ease, he repeatedly said “you’re beautiful” reminding of me the lovely hymn by Phil Wickham. Their day will undoubtedly resemble one that awaits in a further forever beyond this galaxy.
