It was the summertime, and the living was easy. Both Rob and Erin being teachers, summertime was their break, where they could plan the year long waited excursions and venture off to wherever they dreamed. They set off on a road trip to the mid-West. They knew they wanted to visit Montana and thus marked it off as their end destination.

Once they arrived and settled in the warm and lush park, it was something special. The view moved their hearts so much they decided to make a life-long commitment to each other. There was no bend of the knee or diamond to seal the promise. Instead, they opted to scour the grounds and find elements from their area to incorporate in the spur of the moment ceremony they planned. Erin said a few words pledging to stand by Rob and he reciprocated the feeling with his impromptu vows. There was nobody there; only the trees witnessed the floral rings they had created for that moment.

As we were treading the rocky waters of Muir Beach, they casually narrated that this was the proposal. I realized their whimsical romance was one that could withstand anything. The wind, rocky cliffs and high tide were the backdrops, and they were the coast crossed lovers. Rob being from Philadelphia and Erin having grown up in the Muir Beach area, both loved the coast, and I concurred. As we draw closer to their summer wedding day, I grow more and more impatient. They are set to be married in a secluded area on Mount Tamalpais that can’t even be found on Google maps, thus alluding to the day they decided to be each other’s darling forever in Montana. I’m overwhelmed and completely taken over by the beauty of their souls.
