Ross Wedding, Marin Art & Garden Center: Anne & Steve

We have been holding out on you. We took our time in sharing this wedding because it’s one that is ever so precious for our books because of these two souls: Anne and Steve. Their wedding took place in a garden that hosted our own. You can say we’re a little biased and maybe unfair, but it was a surreal experience to watch from the other end of the spectrum this beautiful story take place at the Marin Art and Garden Center in Ross. To top things off, their wedding took place on Victor’s birthday, forever linking us to the beautiful September date.

Anne was as blissful as she was beautiful on her wedding day. She glowed, and it wasn’t quite bridal, but almost as if she carried a secret. She was more than ready since she had been dreaming of this beautiful day for more than a couple of years now while growing her family with Steve. Her daughter Emma, who frequently is the star of her Instagram feed, joined her as they put the final touches on her dress. Steve was a tad nervous but remained in his strong but calm self-getting a few wedding tasks done right before going off to meet his bride. They saw each other for the first time that day under the beautiful grove next to the Butterfly Garden. Emma joined the two of them while also serving as a reminder of how much more in store there is for their family. Anne’s beautiful friends, as well as Steve’s crew, cheered them on from the bridal party sidelines subsiding the butterflies that fluttered inside and out.

Their vows were poetic. They were a promise and almost served as a seal to their divine fate. Anne and Steve in mere words described their unconditional love toward one another and their commitment to live life bringing their best possible selves in one another. Their parents watched from the front row while Emma was graciously held by her aunt watching her parents embraced this new chapter. I was profoundly touched by how their legacy will revolve around love and always love.

As the evening grew dimmer throughout their celebration, they had surprises in store for their guests. Instead of just multi-tier cake to serve as dessert, they opted to have some of the Bay Area famous Johnny Doughnuts. It was a crowd favorite. Before they were able to relish on Johnny Doughnut sweetness, they gave a few words of appreciation to their intimate audience. Shortly after, they announced that their family was growing and that a sweet baby Carter would soon join them. The news only further proved that Anne’s glow was from within and everyone broke out in cheers and toasts. The celebration followed on the dance floor, and Emma showed off that she is a ballerina in the making there. The night ended in beautiful sparklers lighting up the pitch black night as the newlyweds made their way out.

We don’t have words for you, Anne and Steve. You leave us speechless with every thoughtful gesture and gift. You’ve spoiled us and we feel so grateful to have been a tiny part of your story together. Thank you for giving us the immense honor to witness your day in a place with so much sentimental feeling for us. As you look back, we hope that you can always cherish every moment that was fulfilled that day as you segue into the next part of your lives together. Thank you for every dessert, coffee, doughnut you gifted us. We love you three and can’t wait to meet your baby boy!
