They had met in a distant place. Both being relatively in the same place in time, naturally fell into a pre-destined friendship. Guatemala was home for the two of them, but San Francisco was their next stop. Brendy and Jose were far from their close family and friends, thus clung to one another for love and support.

As time passed, they knew that wherever life would take them, they wanted to be linked to each other forever. No matter the distance, language, or season, an elopement would be the next grand moment. San Francisco City Hall adorned with diffused light towering with a gorgeous rotunda was the perfect place to seal their lives together. Their family, parents, traveled far and wide for their short nuptials. Having had a few elopements at City Hall including mine, I guided them to some of my favorite places plus some new I was eyeing.

It was time. The officiant stepped off the elevator and met them under the rotunda with the spot-on skylight highlighting this moment. They both recited their vows in Spanish and topped it with the universal kiss. Their parents, brother and relatives cheered, and bystanders joined in.

After a few moments of family portraits, Brendy and Jose took some time for themselves, and we went to the classic 4th floor. Although City Hall is beautiful in its architectural details, they decided to venture off to a place with greenery. We went to the beautiful Andy Goldstein’s Wood Line where instead of tall carvings and marble walls, Eucalyptus trees witnessed their first moments as husband and wife.
