They locked eyes across the high school dance floor. He was spinning his records with headphones on but she distracted him with her beautiful stare. It was her first time being there at her friends’ school, and she wanted to linger for a while and maybe ask Jeff for a dance. That was it. They were both hooked. They’ve been inseparable ever since.

Naturally when the time came, almost a decade later, Jeff wanted to surprise Lilian with the question to forever. It was too early in the morning en route to their trip to Mexico. Jeff dropped little hints here and there. “Do you maybe want to dress up just a bit?” he cunningly asked, as they were getting ready. Lilian didn’t think much of it, so she resorted to leggings instead. They arrived at SFO and checked in. Everything as normal as any traveler would expect the TSA to be. They were about to enter the security clearance section, Jeff in an impromptu moment dropped on one knee with one hand over his carry-on and the other with a ring asking Lilian to be his wife. Lilian finally awoke surprised to hear her entourage of friends coming in from the corner cheering her on. In seconds, she said, ‘yes!’ They briefly embraced and greeted their friends. It was a moment full of joy, laughter and on Lilian’s end, on the verge of tears. They soon went off to their trip to celebrate the new milestone.

When the time came to plan for their session, they wanted it to be just right. San Francisco is the theme and Lilian wanted a bit of whimsical. It was one of the windiest Sundays in the Bay Area. Tree branches were falling, and sand from the beaches quickly ascended to our eyes. We quickly switched gears and headed to the enchanted Sutro Heights Park neighboring Sutro Baths. At every turn and corner was a different view and their affection to one another the cherry on top. Jeff & Lilian’s squad joined us for the first part and continued to cheer them. I silently wished that I could take them in every session for their spirit and very handful support (Thanks, Vivian!) Braving the winds, and the cold feel, Jeff and Lilian’s true values came through and through. Aside from celebrating their love, their hearts are for family and friends. Their selflessness and hearts of gold invite you to be part of their world instantly upon meeting them. I knew I had to step my game up when Jeff told me about his interest in photography and film. I couldn’t be more grateful for their lives. Victor and I are ecstatic to be, for at least one day, a part of their wedding entourage.
