It was forecasted to rain. It was predicted to pour. Their day had dawned differently from what they had originally planned. Amanda had it all sketched out with colors and all. Wil had been ready from the moment he proposed. Alas, Mother Nature threw a curve ball and their plans altered. Although the picture was now different their intentions remained the same–their hearts clear on their purpose to be married and to celebrate the new start to the rest of their lives.
The good luck poured out throughout the wedding day. Silent pauses of sighs and smiles with the scent of champagne permeated. Amanda sat still slowly putting the final touches before she went off to see her beau, Wil. His burgundy colored suit matched his grin perfectly, and their guests eagerly waited the moment they would become husband and wife with joy.
Although, the rain may have proven a slight inconvenience, it represented the millions of blessings for their lives. After the few speeches and die-hard laughter, Abby took the mic and narrated a few sweet moments she’s shared with Amanda and then gave the grand explanation of rain being good luck for the couple. “Tying the knot in the rain, makes it harder to unravel, meaning that the marriage will last for ages,” Abby shared. This brought a smile to everyone in the room with a unanimous cheer. Because in addition to all the details, planning, beautiful palettes, and food, it was and it will always be about their marriage. The whole party proceeded to dance in the next room opened by a traditional Samoan dance by Amanda’s family. The rain had subsided a bit, but the celebration had just begun.
Wilmanda, you two have taught us so much during the last few months. Your vigor for life, food and a good time is a force to be reckoned with, and we hope that your endless travels take you to explore new facets of life. We loved being rained on for the sake of you two and couldn’t be more enamored with the visual of the two of you under tall redwood trees with an umbrella in hand. We hope that it tells the tale of the day you married each other and became a family. Thank you for letting us be there for you!
