There’s nothing better than a good excuse to shop than a Holiday soirée. I’m excited to say that our studio now offers a wardrobe as part of our photoshoot experience. Thus, I’m always on the hunt for precious pieces to complete our studio wardrobe. I look high and low for dresses that are classic, flattering, can fit many body shapes, and are precious enough to entice you to want to buy them.
Let’s be honest, with COVID and many large gatherings on pause for the upcoming Holiday season, many of us are probably not headed to a gala event any time soon, but even so, it doesn’t hurt to look, does it?
I have a list, a long wishlist of glamorous dresses that can one day be a part of the T&V photo studio. Being an Amazon regular (I’m on a first-name basis with the delivery drivers), it rarely disappoints when it comes to daily household needs, it does more often when it comes to the clothing category.
I scoured the formal dress category to find these pieces that may or may not be in my shopping cart ready for clients who want to have an extra special shoot. Vanity Fair anyone?
If Cinderella’s dress could be made in this day and age, I believe this magical dress could rival it. I especially love the great reviews and how timeless the shape of the image. I also think this dress could be worn by different age ranges.

This dress has all the right flowiness and drama that you want in your life. It comes in different colors and is figure-flattering on many body shapes and sizes. The champagne and satin finish gives it a regal look and will not disappoint.
She has sparkle and boy does she shine! The gold pattern and the figure hugging silhouette make it quite festive and all makes you look like a million bucks. A little more expensive than your average Amazon dress, but she’s well worth every penny!
I love that this dress is a classic silhouette but has modern beading and tulle. It’s black yes, but the nude color tulle underneath gives it an element of surprise. Also, the corseted back is another design detail that elevates this dress.
When I saw this dress, I instinctively remembered this episode on Rachel Zoe’s project where she has the team of Armani Prive design a cape for Anne Hathaway’s Oscar appearance. She scraps the custom-made cape to only dress Annie with the original design. So what do you get here? 2 looks in one. Drama or no drama? That’s the question.
I love the petals on this look especially due to its ethereal like quality. It’s almost as if a train would be befitting from the back with the movement of the flared out tulle. It has great reviews especially if trying to find a dress to flatter curvier ladies.
This dress immediately stopped my scrolling as it reminded me of the very popular Badgley Mischka sequin gown for 5 times the price. New years or a fancy wedding party, this dress is the perfect fit.
The ballgown that will stop the music and anybody in their tracks. The jacquard satin fabric is reminiscent of medieval times and has a royal look. I’d do almost anybody in this dress!
