Laure and John are no strangers in our studio. From the moment we met them in person at their iconic engagement session at the Oracle Arena, Victor and I knew that we lucked out crossing paths with them. This was my 4th time photographing them and I felt incredibly honored to be able to know their baby girl Arabella.
Since their move to Nevada, and amidst the pandemic they graciously saved their first family portrait for me. Arabella was only a couple of months old and already had accrued more mileage than a 1-year-old car traveling back and forth from Nevada to the Bay Area. They traveled all the way to my studio in San Rafael to get their long-awaited family portrait.
Lauren wanted something a little different to her previous portraits and was pulled more into gold, olive, and darker tones. We created two sets, one that lent itself towards a more classic black and white style and another lighter and brighter look. In between feedings, Arabella was the star of the show and their family a beautiful illustration of unconditional love.
