Piedmont Community Hall, Oakland Wedding: Michelle & Erdvin

A Woodsy  Fairytale Wedding

This was one for the books. It was a day so good that we didn’t want to leave. There was so much love bursting from the Piedmont Community Hall that evening. There was so much laughter, reminiscing of old memories and envisioning new chapters ahead. Life had changed that day for Michelle and Erdvin. He wore his heart on his sleeve while she smiled away the day and every single breath, step, and move was unplanned and beautiful. Her fairytale dress gave the day an enchanted feel and among the tall redwood trees they married.

They had hundreds of adventures tallied up in their 8 years of being together. From Hawaii to New Orleans, up and down the golden California coast, and many more impromptu-wilderness-craving tales. There wasn’t a place they went where they didn’t create a memory or two. Especially when their pit-bull child Kona would  third-wheeled in the back seat. They have a great appetite for life, and their friends and family could attest with an aftertaste of a good craft brew. Although the day almost caught up with them, many who came far and not-so-far contributed with an endless amount of support and love. They couldn’t be any more grateful. Michelle and Erdvin took a moment to make sure everybody knew it, both publicly and individually. That’s just the kind of people they are.

Every detail was thought out. They paid homage to Erdvin’s parents and Michelle’s grandfather by including their pictures in their ceremony. And I’m fully convinced they had the best seats, front row center to their children’s beautiful day.

There weren’t enough embraces to go around or time to keep celebrating. The whole year led them to this point and it seemed short,  it was as if yesterday we were just meeting in Yosemite to shoot a glimpse of their love story together. Michelle and Erdvin toasted, cheered and just kept pouring love into everyone there. Their vows were uniquely crafted. They promised to make history together but to remain cautious of certain expenditures at a particular retail store (whose name will remain concealed but it rhymes with larget). They pinky-swore their promise and life as a married couple began.

Michelle & Erdvin, there aren’t enough words to fully recite how grateful we are for the two of you. We’re so lucky to have reconnected and to witness how this day unfolded for you. You’ve taught us that life should be brewed, enjoyed, then emptied to repeat just like beer! And for the best taste, you have to let it chill. We sincerely hope that no matter what life brings, your best adventures have yet to come.
