He first laid eyes on her in one of the notorious Chico University parties a few years ago. It was her ease of laughter and the glimmer in her eye, or it was something else, but Derek was intrigued and pursued Alex. Nine years later and now they’re planning to ring the wedding bells.
He took her around his hometown and then up to Fort Bragg. He planned how he was going to ask. There was no room for spontaneity since he had put some serious thought into the grand event. He wanted the view, the sounds, and everything to be perfect. The final touch would be her ‘yes’. And she indeed said yes.
It was a cloudless day in Point Reyes as we made our short ways from the Cypress tree tunnel then to the famous shipwreck, and concluding in the beautiful smooth sandy beach. Sunset was a gift, and their affection to one another was like a dream. Over the scenic views, I learned why Alex is the perfect yin to his yang and vice versa. Alex, a hazel-eyed beauty has such a lightheartedness and an ease for a good time makes you feel at home with her. Derek, a strong and grounded man with a heart to help those in need, ventured to make a career out of it. He is her rock and she is his joy. Each is the perfect accent to one another and are even more beautiful together than apart.
Alex, the days are getting close to your San Franciscan wedding, and I can’t wait to witness how you two will embrace this new season together. I’m blessed to know such beautiful souls inside and out.
