Santa Cruz never looked better. With its coastal laid back feel and the tall redwood trees towering over the biggest celebration of Jessica and Nick’s life. She looked excited with the utmost concerns for those around her’s well being. Nick poured his heart in one of the deepest romantics letters that would rival any of the greats. She opened up the binder paper and held her hand over her mouth reading the most beloved words of her lover’s heart in her hand. She knew it was the launch of something special, bigger than a ‘happily ever after’ as she often heard in one of her many favorite Disney movies. Jessica and Nick started this book of life long before the wedding but it was a sequel to something bigger and better.
Jessica and Nick had many things in store for her guests that weren’t usually part of a wedding day. From the beautiful campgrounds and train to escort everybody (including us) to and from the remote ceremony location. It probably wasn’t a first for some, but it was truly a page out of one J. K. Rowling stories, a la Harry Potter specifically. Tree trimmings fell as the train made its way through and the ‘choo choo’ simulated wedding bells announcing to all who could hear that Jessica and Nick were married.
Roaring Camp Railroad is best described as its western charm and everyone including Jessica and Nick were the perfect characters to remain on the scene and each had their story to tell. People gathered to congratulate them. Her maid of honor, Claire described how their love was one to emulate and Nick’s twin brother told a story or two about the little troublemaking they did before Jessica came into the picture. The room filled with laughter, ear-to-ear smiles, and one or two tears. The dance floor was the stage for some epic moves from the youngest to the not so youngest. Nick and Jessica celebrated as long as they could until it was time to leave and start their married life. They made their grandest exit yet proving that “Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light.”
Jessica and Nick, can we do this all over again? We just want to have the perfect excuse to watch you two celebrate again. Your contagious laugh and how hard you two hustle inspire us to always look forward to the next chapter. We love you two! Happy ever after…
