They agreed. The feeling was almost mutual. They had a virtual connection, which led to a first date. Faith recommended going to the restaurant located on the higher floor of the mall, the Westfield mall. Garret, slightly hesitant, made it a date. He initially thought that the restaurant was part of the food court and it didn’t fall under his ‘ideal first date’ experience. He was taken aback though with her beauty and she with his charm. Many dates after that followed in pursuit. It wasn’t until they traveled for the first time to Mexico, that she called it ‘official.’
Both being jet-setters, they found themselves in Paris years after that. It was a warm day in July, the perfect setting for something grand to happen. They hiked up to a hill with a view of the whole city. They picnicked, people-watched and went to scour the grounds. Sunset began, and she gathered their belongings and the last bits of their meal. She was blissfully taking a moment in. In that moment, Garret turned towards her and proposed. This was it. The moment called for it and the diamond ring to perfectly crown it. She joyfully accepted. They embraced each other, and their journey as boyfriend and girlfriend was transitioned to ‘newly engaged.’
There was a series of attempts to photograph their long-awaited engagement session. Bay area weather as always being unpredictable, required us to reschedule. They chose Montalvo Arts Center in Saratoga as the backdrop; I’d say almost as beautiful as the view they described when they got engaged. The lush grounds and white archways are every artist’s dream and perfect ‘European-like’ oasis to escape to. We made our way throughout the vacant grounds, and in every corner, there were more fairytale-like scenes to cover with more flowers in full bloom. Faith and Garret hung to one another so naturally. Her effortless chic flair and Garret’s modest smile tugged our hearts. As our time with each other came to an end, it was a bit hard to tear ourselves away. Their genuine hearts and connection made for any location to be that much more beautiful.
Faith and Garret, we are counting the days for your big San Francisco affair. We are so honored to be a part of your journey to be wedded to one another. Thank you for your patience and willingness. We’re definitely counting on some travel tips for our summer trip!
